Spring Grads Showcase How CU Denver Makes Education Work for All

At 18 and 75 years old, Faith Solter and Jose Carbon are CU Denver’s youngest and oldest graduates this spring. Honoring Alumni Achievement

On May 8, University of Colorado Denver leadership, alumni, faculty, and friends gathered at Denver’s Mile High Station for the 2025 Alumni Awards ceremony—a night dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary impact of CU Denver alumni in their professions, communities, and the world.

Join fellow CU alumni, staff, students, and fans to cheer on the Colorado Rockies as they go against the Arizona Diamondbacks and receive a limited-edition, CU-themed Rockies baseball cap. Before the game, you’re invited to join us for a free, exclusive pregame at Jackson’s LODO which includes complimentary light appetizers and drinks for purchase.

CU Denver 2025 Block Party

Cost/fee: Free
We are excited to kick off another academic year! The event is free and open to both the campus community and the public. This year’s event takes place on the 1300 block of Lawrence St. between Speer and 14th St. The event will feature interactive booths highlighting various CU Denver departments, colleges and schools. There will be live music, food trucks and interactive engagements.
